Kickapoo Valley Ranch Driving Directions...

These are not necessarily the quickest directions, they are the easiest.  If you are really good with directions & want a quicker route  (15-20 minutes, in some cases,) call Cowboy Joe directly at 608-625-6222.

From Southeastern Wisconsin:  Take I94 toward Milwaukee & then toward Madison. *Just east of Madison, take I90/I94 north & west past the Madison, Wisconsin Dells & Mauston exits.  Just after I90 & I94 split outside of Tomah, continue on I90 toward LaCrosse to the 2nd exit, Hwy 131.  Exit to the south (turn left.)  {Continue below at ***}

From Chicago Area:  Take I94 toward Milwaukee and follow above directions*. OR take I90 toward Rockford & Madison and follow above directions*.

From Minneapolis Area:  Take I94 east toward Eau Claire & Madison.  Just past the Tomah exits, I94 meets up with I90.  Swing around west onto I90 toward LaCrosse.  Take the second exit, Hwy 131.  Exit to the south (turn left.)  {Continue below at ***}   

From the West:  Take I90 east from Rochester through the LaCrosse area to Tomah - Hwy 131.  Exit to the south (turn left.)  {Continue below at ***}

***Then:  Drive south through the towns of Wilton, Ontario & Rockton.  Just outside of Rockton turn right (west) on County Road P.  Drive west on County Road P 4.1 miles to the Ranch!  (The drive south from I90 to Country Road P is 28.5 miles, approximately 30 minutes.)

Note: From I90, you will run into County Road P several times.  Do not take County Road P until you cross the big bridge over the Kickapoo River just beyond Rockton and can take County Road P to the west (to the right.)

From the Southwest:  From Dubuque on Hwy 151 turn north on Hwy 61 at Dickeyville. Stay on Hwy 61 through Lancaster, Fennimore, Boscobel, Soldiers Grove & into Readstown.  At Hwy 14 turn right (east) & drive a few blocks to Hwy 131.  Turn left (north) on Hwy 131, drive through Viola and into LaFarge. Turn left (west) on Main Street (Hwy 82/131) and drive five blocks through town.  Again, follow Hwy 131 right (north) four miles toward Rockton & Ontario, turn left (west) on County Road P.  Drive west on County Road P 4.1 miles to the Ranch!

These Directions are not necessarily the quickest, but they are the easiest.  Remember, once you exit the Interstates, you are in the middle of the country; windy roads with NO lighting.  Trust the directions, particularly the mileage & timeframes that I've quoted.  If you get lost, there is no cell service down here in the Valley.  Make sure you have a sense of how to get here before you head out on the road...
